The Crisis

A Humanitarian Catastrophe

Gaza has become one of the most conflict-affected areas in the world. The escalation since October 2023 has displaced nearly two million people. Families live in overcrowded shelters or makeshift tents, entirely dependent on humanitarian aid. Malnutrition among children and pregnant women is rising sharply as health facilities collapse and aid crossings remain restricted.

Ramadan 2025: Hot Meals

During Ramadan 2025, AusGive fundraised through Gungahlin and Sabah Mosques in Canberra — collecting Zakat ul Fitr and Zakat ul Mal to fund urgent Iftar meals for Palestinians under extreme hardship.

Food Pack Preparation

50 emergency food packs assembled — cheese, mortadella, rice, sugar, lentils, milk powder, oil, tahini, thyme, tuna.

1 OCTOBER 2025

— Al Zawayda, Middle Gaza

Food Pack Distribution

50 packs distributed with dignity and transparent beneficiary management.

350 individuals reached

3 OCTOBER 2025

— Nuseirat, Middle Gaza

Hot Meals Distribution

4 large pots of freshly cooked rice served immediately after cooking. Community reps said this was “the only direct meal families had eaten that day.”

1,980 individuals reached

5 OCTOBER 2025

— Al Zawayda, Middle Gaza

Water Distribution

10,000 litres of purified drinking water delivered via tanker — reducing dangerous daily burden of searching for clean water.

2,500 individuals reached
